Guidelines for thesis submission
What should the title of my thesis be?
The degree must be shown as Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Music, or Master of Architecture. The month shown on the title page should be that in which the final copy is submitted to the Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies or the month in which the degree will be conferred (May, August or December).
When do I need to submit my thesis to GPS?
If your thesis is defended but not final (e.g., changes to your thesis are required), you must alert GPS by submitting specific thesis information within a week of your defense. Once you have defended and all changes are made, you must then submit your thesis within six months of your defense. Instructions for both scenarios are listed below.
When is the deadline to submit a thesis?
Students must submit the thesis to the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies no later than six months from the date of the examination. However, in order to qualify for a specific degree conferral date, the submission deadline for that semester must be met. See the academic calendar for deadlines.
