Who are the judges for the school essay competition?
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges including representatives from the FT, Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and a third party. The judging criteria will include: Submissions can be uploaded by individual students or teachers. Teacher and school contact details must be provided.
When do you get notified of winner of RGS essay competition?
Essays should be provided as a PDF and include a title and your name in the document. Please email eduadmin@rgs.org if you have any problems with your uploads. There will be one overall winner and up to five highly commended awards. The winner will be notified around mid-November 2021 by email.
How old do you have to be to enter the school essay competition?
Unfortuntely, it is not open to 16-year-old GCSE level students who will be in Year 11 in September 2021. The competition closes on 1 October 2021 at 5.00pm. Entries will not be accepted after this time.
